Programs
Our curriculum involves sensory, motor, perceptual, and language skills. These skills are introduced through materials and activities that are both child centered and teacher directed. The program creates a process of education that allows for creative exploration and discovery in the excitement of learning. Work is planned which emphasizes the process rather than the product, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Children grow in predictable stages, yet the teachers treat each child as an individual, working from the level each child has attained and moving forward a step at a time. We teach a love of learning by allowing children to experience their own stage of development and helping them to feel success without pressure.
Enrichment Programs
Education in Dance
Education in Dance integrates dance with all of the arts. Linking with academics, the program combines basic dance skills, quality music (ethnic, classical, jazz), drama games for self esteem, visual arts, nutrition awareness, and tumbling. The curriculum highlights shapes, colors, spatial concepts, seasonal themes, and motor skills.
Musical IQ
Musical IQ blends culture, discovery, and musical theory into an engaging experience. Using African drums, children will learn the language of music and explore topics such as geography and multiculturalism. This musical journey around the world includes destinations such as East and West Africa, Brazil, Haiti, New Orleans, and more!
